Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger. In Salem, local artists and volunteers create art, both functional and decorative. The sale raises money for the Marion Polk Food Share and Willamette Art Center.

The Willamette Art Center has hosted this annual event for 17 years and generated nearly $250,000 in direct support of the Marion Polk Food Share.

Dedicated patrons of the art center donate their time and skill to produce over 1,200 bowls and other clay items over the course of a year. These art pieces can’t be generated without clay, glaze, and kiln firing at a high production cost.

Please consider sponsorship to share in the effort to feed our hungry neighbors. The Willamette Art Center is committed to continuing support of our community and sustaining our studio. We cannot reach this goal without our business supporters
