This beginner-friendly class introduces fundamental handbuilding techniques while familiarizing students with the WAC’s open studio. Topics include clay preparation, attachment methods, texture application, and glazing.

Session one will focus on creating functional ware, including a set of four dessert plates and a medium snack bowl.

Open to all skill levels. Participants must be 18 years or older; children may enroll if accompanied by an adult.

Class details:

  • Duration: 4 weeks (April 2 – April 30)
  • Schedule: Meets weekly on Tuesdays, 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
  • Cost: $90

Due to our upcoming move, the spring session will not include a bonus week (week 5).

Please note: WAC will be closed from April 21 – 27. As a result, a make-up week has been added to the end of each class.
